       A gasp, followed by a groan, that’s how Ryan Heathcliff awoke. He reached a soot smudged hand to his steamy grey eyes and rubbed the sleep from them before blinking them awake. A heavy feeling settled in his chest cavity, weighing him down. Ryan shook his head and slid off the bed and almost hit his bed light on his way off of the cheap mattress.
